Ira, what a beautiful pincushion! I just made up a bunch using empty cat food cans - my way of recycling. I too would like to know if the bottom is fabric or pretty wrapping paper. You did a beautiful job with the embrodiery.
If you are interested I would love to do a swap with you. I hand dyed laces and collect lots of pretty CQ items.
